Whitesnake are an English hard rock band formed in London in 1978. Since David Coverdale was lead vocalist for Deep Purple 1973 – 1976 for the albums Burn and Stormbringer. After achieving great success with Whitesnake, he went back to his roots to record a record of a selection of his Deep Purple songs with his Whitesnake band.
The Purple Album reached number 18 on the UK Albums Chart, while in the US it peaked at number 87. On the Independent Albums chart, it reached number nine, while in Japan it reached number eight. In its first week, the record sold 6,900 copies in the US. The Associated Press commended the band for breathing new life into the songs.
Whitesnake kicked off the North American leg of The Purple Tour in May 2015. The Band consisted of David Coverdale on Vocals, Tommy Aldridge – Drums, Reb Beach and Joel Hoekstra – Guitars, Michael Devin – Bass and Michele Luppi – Keyboards.
The VIP bag consists of a 14.5” x 15” (deep) purple colored cotton bag, colorful 9.33” x 13.5” Tour Book, Lanyard (which is really an official faux back-stage pass) and I have included the Ovation venue program (venue – Florida Theatre in Jacksonville, FL USA)
