How to Do Ovulation Test?
1. Using the testing chart in the instruction to calculate the length of your normal menstrual cycle.
2. Determine the day to begin testing. It is fine to do the test at any time of the day but you should test at approximately the same time each day.
3. Before the test, reduce your liquid intake for two hours before test as too much liquid will dilute the LH in your urine.
4. Do the test (Please refer to instruction to get more details).
How to Read Ovulation Test Results?
1. Positive Result (LH Surge):
that means you will probably ovulate in the next 24-48 hours after the first positive ovulation test. It is the best time to have intercourse after 24 but before 48 hours if trying to get pregnant.
2. Negative Result (No LH Surge):
that means there is no LH surge and you should continue testing daily.
Reasons to get negative result：
* Start testing too early or too late in your cycle. Calculate your cycle and try not to miss your LH surge.
* You didn’t ovulate.
* The test has been performed incorrectly. Follow the instructions closely and use clean urine.
3. Invalid
:
it may be due to insufficient specimen volume or incorrect test performance. Repeat with a new test.
How to Do Pregnancy Test?
1. Test it from the first day of your missed period.
2. First morning urine test will be more accurate, as it has the highest concentration of HCG.
3. Refer to instruction for doing the test.
How to Read Pregnancy Test Results?
1. Positive (Pregnant):
no matter how faint the lines sign, you can assume you are pregnant.
False Positive Result: the test says you are pregnant but you are actually not.
Factors that will cause false positive results may include below condition:
* If you had a miscarriage or have given birth in the past 8 weeks (hCG may still be in your system).
* Using drugs containing hCG. Most over-the-counter and prescription medicines such as birth control and antibiotics, alcohol and illegal drugs will not affect pregnancy test results.
2. Negative (Not Pregnant):
the test says that you are not pregnant, but your period does not start within a few days, take another test again.
False Negative Result: the test says you are not pregnant but you indeed are.
You might get a false negative result if you:
* Do the test too early: take the test again a week or two after a negative result if you have not had a menstrual period by then.
* Check the test result too soon: the complete reaction time of 3 minutes is required to confirm negative result.
* Use diluted urine. Morning urine test is preferable and make sure your urine is non-polluting.
3. Invalid:
repeat with a new test kit. Each test is designed for a single use and should not be reused.
