HAWAIIAN PIKAKE FLOWER BOVINE BONE WEDDING NECKLACE VINTAGE TUCSON ESTATE

(NOTE: I used a quarter in one photo for scale and so the camera had something to focus - it is not part of the auction)  From a Tucson estate and a previous visit to paradise is this obviously vintage Hawaiian carved pikake flower wedding necklace of choker length.  Twenty (20) of the carved bovine bone pikake flowers form the necklace strand, with matching round bead spacers as a visual bonus. One more flower is set pendant fashion, and an elongated bone screw clasp bead finishes things nicely.  For those who know, this has every bit of "the look" - read plenty of old style islands charm. Condition is quite fine with an aura of time to the surfaces. There is the typical mild toning to the pikake flowers and round beads, a good thing. All of the usual and expected signs of previous (apparently brief) period neck duty simply validate a history. A look at the pics should give a good idea of appearance and condition. Size is about  17 1/4 in. long. The pikake flowers run from about 10mm diameter near the clasp to 11mm at the front, the impression being uniformity rather than any discernable taper. The pendant flower is about 12mm across - so yes, it will be noticed.
