    This
    nomex
    gasket installs easily to restore that factory airtight seal.   The adhesive is a superb easy self spread design that bonds to both ceramic/stone and metal very well.

    Installation directions:
    Carefully, remove old gasket with putty knife.
    Clean surface with rubbing alcohol or food safe degreaser
    Lightly sand surface to remove stubborn grease or old gasket
    Squeeze contents of tub onto base of egg where gasket is to be installed.   Press on gasket to install, do not stretch.
    Repeat process for dome (top) of Grill Dome
    The adhesive needs to self cure for 24hours before cooking! (see tube for instructions)
    Installation notes
    : There is enough adhesive to make a 1/8" bead by 29 feet.  you should put two 1/8" beads on the base and two on the lid. You will still have adhesive leftover. If you are not handy, please look at our listing for our premium Nomex gasket for Big green egg, with self adhesive.
