1. What is Source Four EDLT?
EDLT stands for "Enhanced Definition Lens Tube." The EDLT gives heightened contrast and edge crispness to projected images, especially when the Source Four is used as a gobo projector.
2. Is the EDLT the entire fixture?
No. It is a lens tube option.
3. Is this a difficult change-out?
No. Remove the lens tube from any fixed-focus Source Four and replace it with the EDLT. It's that easy!
4. What is so innovative about the EDLT?
The EDLT's new dual-aspheric lenses utilize the most advanced manufacturing techniques and anti-reflective coatings. The optical system is highly optimized for sharp focus of intricate gobos with minimum distortion and maximum lumen output.
5. Is there any loss of light output associated with the EDLT?
No. Photometric data show that the EDLT produces a gain in field lumens along with the improvements in contrast and acuity.
6. Why is the EDLT an option rather than standard on Source Fours?
EDLT's advanced optical system costs more to produce and is not required for most lighting applications. But when the lighting situation calls for more precise projection optics, EDLT is available. Remember, 1.7 million Source Fours are in the field and remain the benchmark for lighting fixtures, still setting the standard for performance and price.
7. What beam angles are available in the EDLT lens tubes?
19º, 26º, 36º and 50º.
