    Description

    This is a CDV photo of a young lady identified on the front as “Rebecca Packer.” The photo was taken by traveling photographers, Burchfield & Bottorf in their Mammoth Car. These photographers went to various locations in central Pennsylvania taking photos. This one date to right around 1864-66. Image has some spots of light foxing and soiling and mount corners are clipped. Image contrast is good; details can be clearly seen. No bends.
    According to information found on the Internet a “Rebecca Packer” was born in Centre County, Pennsylvania in 1851. She married Wesley Lester also from Centre County. They later lived in Minnesota. This lady could be the one in the photo.
