    Description

This auction is for one white oak rain barrel that has a downspout connector, three overflow male hose connectors, a brass spigot, a bottom drain plug.  Fill your watering can with the brass spigot. The brass spigot is interchangeable with the bottom drain plug.
Made from recycled 53 gallon white oak whiskey barrels for the old fashioned authentic rain barrel look.  Our white oak rain barrels are identical to the original rain barrels of yesteryear in that if they are allowed to dry out, the boards will shrink and small leaks can occur.  When water is kept in the barrels, they will not leak.  Usually it only takes a matter of several hours for a barrel to re-seal itself after being allowed to dry out.  The water marks that are created by these occasional drying out periods are considered by most to add to the character of the rain barrels as well as helping to create the same antique appearance of the original rain barrels.
The picture shown is with the rain barrel connected to the drain pipe with a flex-fit diverter that comes with this barrel. The diverter will divert rain water from your downspout into your rain barrel, until the rain barrel is full, and then automatically send the rest of the water back through the downspout. This is a closed rain barrel top so the brass spigot and diverter kit (with full easy instructions) are shipped separately.  The rain barrel will be shipped Fed-Ex Ground.
