As the Great War progressed and the trenches dominated the landscape, a dire need arose to be able to observe your enemy.  Any high point was a valuable asset to observe and direct artillery fire.
A clever idea arose almost simultaneously from both sides of the trenches.  Make a hollow "tree" where an observer can be hidden and protected from small arms fire.  Steel tubes with simulated bark and branches where manufactured,
Our model depicts such an observation post with the side cut out in order to visualize the interior. Exceptional bark texture and highly detailed steel plates in the interior.  Printed resin and available as a limited run of 80 units.
