2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD. New features will be added to the future 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD. One of the strongest models in the heavy truck series is this one. The Silverado 3500 will continue to compete with the Ford F-350 and Ram 3500 versions. However, electric trucks will soon be available, therefore Chevy must make changes to the Silverado HD portfolio.
The Silverado 3500HD doesn’t have an electric powertrain option, but GM will still sell an all-electric Hummer EV truck. The Silverado will keep getting better, and we hope to at least see the same performance from this generation. This truck has a long history and is also one of the most dependable ones in its category.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Design
Visually, the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD will change, but not dramatically. Instead, the manufacturer will provide another facelift mid-cycle. There will be four trim levels and each trim level will get the same type of upgrade. We recommend skipping the basic trim levels and moving to the LTZ model. This model comes with LED headlights, a wide grille, and the option to lift the tailgate.
As before, the top-of-the-line High Country is the best look you can get. This is the most unique version of the Silverado 3500. The High Country offers larger wheels, additional chrome accents, and darker exterior trim. Apart from that, you also get a more premium look, an LED charging area, and a 120V power socket.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Interior
The interior of the 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD will offer plenty of space and plenty of modern features. The new model will get more technology, including the latest infotainment system and the latest safety features. Also, we don’t expect radical changes from the inside. Again, the High Country trim level is a model that comes with luxury. For example, this model comes with heated/ventilated seats, leather seats, a larger screen and more. The basic version again offers a standard 8-inch touch screen, a Wi-Fi hotspot, a 7-speaker audio system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Engine
The 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD will continue to offer the 6.6-liter V8 petrol engine as a standard powertrain option. This unit develops up to 401 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Chevy offers a six-speed automatic transmission, along with standard rear-wheel drive. An optional 6.6-liter V8 turbodiesel engine produces 445 horsepower and 910 lb-ft of torque. The diesel engine will be offered by a relatively new 10-speed automatic transmission.
As you can see, the diesel powertrain is definitely the best option. For comparison, a Silverado 3500 HD with a gasoline engine can tow approximately 17,500 pounds. On the other hand, the diesel has a towing capacity of 36,000 lbs. Finally, some reports indicate higher torque levels for Duramax diesel engines. Currently, the hybrid powertrain is not yet available.
